Personality types:  Myers Briggs

 

 

This personality type system looks at four aspects of personality:

·        The source of your energy

·        How you acquire information

·        How you evaluate information and make decisions

·        Your preferred way of interacting with the environment

 

Understanding these aspects about yourself and being able to recognise them in others gives you a lot of information that will help you to

·        Predict their likely behaviour

·        Understand their needs - for example, what sort of information they need to make decisions

·        See how they organise themselves – time and surroundings

·        Recognise what is likely to cause stress and understand their response to stress

And in many other ways, to better understand them.

 

This can help in many situations:

·        Putting a proposal to your manager

·        Organising your team

·        Presenting to a client

·        Dealing with day-to-day sales situations

·        Motivating your team or an individual

·        Resolve conflicts

·        Planning a project

 

Before a Myers Briggs workshop you will complete a questionnaire (MBTI).  During the workshop you will get feedback on your questionnaire and will learn enough to understand your own type and to recognise aspects of type in others. 

 

Workshops can be customised for different situations:

·        Sales

·        Management

·        Team building

 

Personality types workshops are a minimum of half a day, with a full day being preferable if specific situations (such as sales) are to be covered.  Myers Briggs is also part of the leadership workshop.
